This Watson Ave home is situated in the Olde Oakville area close to downtown and within a well-established community surrounded by large trees, walking distance to the lake and in close proximity to historic homes and cottages. The strategic objective for this project was ‘Modern Farm House’ with a traditional salt box design, infused with a statement front porch with clean lines, custom painted lap siding, and transitional interior style focusing on natural materials with luxurious finishes and a slight hint of modern. The entire interior of home was sealed with spray foam and a 1.5 inch rigid foam board installed on the exterior to ensure a exceptional home seal and break of potential thermal bridging. The energy bills are +60% less than the same home built to common building standards.
